About Us

First and foremost, we are farmers.  We love the land and animals.  Above all, we love family.  Read more about our family and our story below.

Our Family & Story

My wife, Rachel, and I are parents of 9 kids.  Aside from our own kids, we have had the privilege of being foster parents for many years.  Through fostering and adopting, our family has grown significantly.  We love kids!  We are unable to show our entire family for the privacy and safety of our foster kids.  We also love farming!  Our small farm just outside Westby, WI is home to many farm animals, including: goats, cows, chickens, rabbits, geese, turkeys, ducks, dogs and cats.  Aside from bringing us joy, every animal serves a purpose on our farm.  Working and taking care of the land is an important part of our farm.  We plant a variety of fruits and vegetable.  Permaculture plays an important roll on our farm.  We utilize animals to help our crops and crops to feed our family and animals.

Why Kidding Creek?

Our farm is home to small herd of goats, whom we love.  Each spring, our goats give birth (called "kidding" in goat terms).  Our farm is also home to small, unnamed spring fed creek which our family has dubbed "Kidding Creek."  This is also where the name of our farm comes from "Kidding Creek Farm."

Our Services & Equipment

Both on our farm and in our business, we make a big deal out of having the right equipment for the job.  All of our equipment is farm grade.  We're experienced in using walk-behind tractors for the vast majority of our farming.  These versatile and robust machines are commonly used in farming throughout Europe, Asia and other parts of the world, but are much less common in the United States.  This is due to farms in the U.S. commonly spanning hundreds or even thousands of acres.  Farms in other parts of the world are much smaller and so, often do not require the huge farm machinery we're all familiar here.  In fact, there are currently no walk-behind tractor manufacturers in the U.S., but there are about 30 in Europe alone.  Our machines are built in Italy and imported to the U.S.  We utilize these machines because they are built to withstand the tough environment of agriculture, with gear driven PTOs and automotive style clutches.  They also have a wealth of unique implements that aid in the success of small farming.  The picture shows just the equipment we use to serve our clients (but this doesn't even show all of the implements we use on our own farm! We even bale hay with our walk behind tractors!). As you can see, these are not machines that you can walk into a retail store and walk out with.  These are dealer sold and serviced tractors and implements, built specifically for farmers and landowners.  They're every bit as robust and capable (albeit, on a smaller scale) as a large tractor working in the field.  Through our own years of experience using walk-behind tractors, the results of our work are unmatched by any store bought or rented rototiller.  By hiring us, you're not just hiring someone to do the labor or bring a tiller, you're hiring someone to bring experience and the right equipment to the job.
